ABLE is an ethical fashion brand that employs and empowers women as a solution to end poverty. They’re deeply devoted to quality – both in the products they make and the quality of life they aim to provide. ABLE invests in, trains, and educates women so they can earn a living, break the cycle of poverty, and thrive, all while delivering beautifully hand crafted women's apparel.
ABLE is extremely conscious about sustainability in every stage of production. They make their opinions known about workers rights, protections, and wages. They seek to do good for people, and they recognize that they can’t fully realize their goals until they recognize the impact they have on the environment. They use hides for their leather that would have been otherwise discarded from the meat industry in order to minimize their waste.
Yes. ABLE is on a mission to improve social conditions and empower workers from disadvantaged communities. They ensure payment of a living wage throughout their supply chain, and visit their stages on production on a regular basis. The only animal product they use is leather.
They do not offer carbon neutral shipping to customers. However, they've made sure to source all of their materials from the western hemisphere (mostly within Mexico, where their denim is produced), to reduce the carbon footprint from shipping.
ABLE often incorporates recycled packaging for shipping based on what is available in their community, such as recyclable plastic inserts or scrap newspaper.
