Boden is mostly sustainable because of its fair trade sourced and sustainable materials, however they have some more work to do to minimize their environmental impact.
They are ethical in some ways, although there is not enough evidence they ensure payment of a living wage in its supply chain. They use sustainable materials but there is no other sign of environmental awareness such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, carbon neutrality, or textile waste. They use animal products such as leather and wool so they are not vegan.
There is no evidence of carbon off-setting or carbon-neutral shipping.
Boden's packaging boxes are made from recycled materials, and they are recyclable. Their shipping bags are already made from 80% recycled material, and they're working to replace them with an even more sustainable alternative, according to Boden.
